The Basic English III class in the Prefectural University of Kumamoto's Faculty of Environmental & Symbiotic Sciences is focussed mainly on writing. It complements the Basic English I class which focusses on speaking, reading, and vocabulary. It's a first-year class, so many students are having their first experience of computing as well as free writing in English. It's a one-semester course, so some students will come to the end of the semester just as they get used to blogging. I encourage as many students as possible to continue blogging after the course is over. Three students have volunteered to blog through their four years of university life.
